What on Earth Are You Doing For Heaven’s Sake?

God has never been in a position of helplessness. Almighty God is in charge of the affairs of this universe. He may use animals, insects, angels, even machines, to further the cause of righteousness. However, He delights to use men. God’s men and women are the primary instruments He uses to carry out His will in this age. God may use the serpent and the hornet, the wind and the earthquake; however, God’s man is His unique choice for accomplishing His purpose.

Question:

What on earth are you doing for Heaven’s sake? Would you consider at least
one year of Bible college to be used as an instrument in God’s hand.

“For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.” – 1 Corinthians 1:26-30.

We are living in a dark world; night is upon us. It is almost impossible to find our way. Truth lies in the street. Moral standards are disdained. I am old enough to remember when the west called the Soviet Union a “godless nation.” I read in the news recently that Russia is now describing North America in those exact terms!

It seems like we are standing at the crossroads of all history. The darkness of Egypt was no greater than ours—and yet, in Egypt’s night, God had His watchman. Will you be one? Would you consider at least one year of Bible college training to find God’s will for your life?

It’s time for serious young people of this generation to step up to the plate! The prophet Isaiah, speaking to a complacent generation that is very similar to our own, said, “Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night? The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will enquire, enquire ye: return, come” – Isaiah 21:11, 12).

Ezekiel was commissioned a watchman: “Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me” – Ezekiel 3:17. God had his man in that hour of spiritual darkness. What about you in this day?

Even if you are on the right track you will
get run over if you just sit there.

No one can afford to ignore their place in God’s plan for their life. Why don’t you give God at least one year of Bible college and watch Him direct your steps.
